About Us

About candyclicker.app

We publish a free, modern browser build of Candy Clicker — the idle clicker where you tap a candy, automate production, and grow one very large number — with offline earnings, achievements, and a Candy Crystal prestige.

Our craft

One candy. One rising number.

Click, automate, upgrade, melt down. That compounding loop is everything we design around.

What we make

A free Candy Clicker that stays in the browser

candyclicker.app is the site behind our build of Candy Clicker. The product is a single-player incremental game: click a candy, buy ten tiers of buildings that produce candy per second, spend on permanent upgrades, and push your candy-per-second as high as it will go.

We are not an app-store publisher and there is nothing to download. The game is the website. That keeps load times short, works on phones and desktops alike, and avoids an account wall. Your candy, buildings, upgrades, achievements, and Candy Crystals live in local browser storage on your device.

If you are comparing this to another clicker, this page only speaks for candyclicker.app. The systems described in our how-to-play guide and FAQ match this exact build.

Our story

From Cookie Clicker to a candy jar

The idle genre is a decade old and still growing. We treat that history as a reason to get the compounding maths right and the friction as close to zero as we can.

  1. 01

    The clicker genre

Incremental games grew out of early-2000s browser experiments and broke through in 2013 with Cookie Clicker, which turned "click a thing, buy a thing that clicks the thing" into a genre. The appeal is watching a small action compound into an absurd number.

  2. 02

    Candy Clicker

Candy Clicker takes that loop and wraps it in sweets: a giant candy to tap, ten tiers of confectionery buildings, a roaming golden candy, and a Candy Crystal prestige. Versions have circulated on game portals for years, most of them looking their age.

  3. 03

    This build

candyclicker.app is an independent, modern implementation. The loop is familiar; what is new is a clean dark interface instead of a garish gradient, a synthesized soundtrack with a real mute, offline earnings, dozens of achievements, and a layout that works one-handed on a phone.

What we stand for

Principles behind every click

Instant to start

Open the page and the candy is ready to click. No account wall, no download, no splash video — you are earning candy within a second of arriving.

Honest idle design

Offline production runs at a fair 40%, upgrades are permanent, and the meltdown is a real reset for a real bonus. Nothing is gated behind a timer or a "pro" tier.

Yours to keep

Your candy, buildings, upgrades, achievements, and Candy Crystals live in your browser on your device. We do not hold your save behind a login, because there is no login.

Free, for real

The whole game is free forever. No energy meters, no interstitial video ads between purchases, no paywall on the meltdown button.

Who it is for

Players who like watching a number grow

candyclicker.app is a family-friendly, single-player game with no chat and no store. A poor fit if you want multiplayer or twitch gameplay; a good fit if you enjoy the slow, satisfying climb of an idle game on whatever screen is nearby.

  • Background play

Leave Candy Clicker in a tab and glance at it between tasks. The number keeps climbing whether or not you are watching, and offline time is credited when you return.

  • Numbers, not reflexes

There is no failure state and nothing to react to quickly, apart from the optional golden candy. The whole game is deciding what to buy next.

  • Play without an account

Your progress stays on the device you played on. That is a deliberate trade: instant play and real privacy, with no cloud restore.

Why this site

How candyclicker.app is different

Candy Clicker has many implementations online. This one exists to ship a single fast, modern version — correct maths, a clean interface, and no clutter.

  • A modern interface

A cocoa-dark theme with one bubblegum-pink accent, readable numbers, a tabbed shop, and toast notifications — not a bright-blue gradient and a wall of buttons.

  • Systems that respect your time

Bulk buying up to Max, offline production, an Upgrades badge when something is affordable, and a meltdown that genuinely accelerates every future run.

  • No clutter

No auto-playing video, no fake "download our app" banners, no dark patterns. The how-to-play guide and FAQ describe this exact engine, not a generic write-up.

How we build

Designed for the browser you already have

The game runs entirely on the web: fast loads, click / tap / keyboard controls, and progress that stays local unless you clear your browser data. We use lightweight analytics to see what helps players — never to gate the game behind a profile. The engine on the home page is the one described on our rules pages, so search results and the live game never drift apart.

  • Play anywhere

Phone, tablet, and desktop share one layout. Click with a mouse, tap on a touchscreen, or press Space, and use the bulk-buy toggle to spend fast.

  • Progress on your device

Candy, buildings, upgrades, achievements, and Candy Crystals are saved locally every few seconds and when you leave the tab. You own the continuity of your run without signing up.

  • Quiet improvement

We watch aggregate usage through Google Analytics to improve pacing and polish. Details are in our Privacy Policy — never as a sales pitch.
